Two years ago today, a man inhaled a deep breath and drifted off to sleep. When he opened his eyes he was met with the brilliant sight of a Shining Being. The Being smiled at the man and said: "He is waiting for you." He took the man's hand, and immediately after the man found himself floating through galaxies unknown, with stars that shone more brilliantly than the sun. Suddenly there was all whiteness surrounding him, and he turned to look at another Shining Being. This Being radiated Love, and the man fell to his knees in awe. The Being touched the man's chin and made him look up. He smiled at him and said: "I am glad you have arrived." Behind the Being, a massive gate opened its doors, and the man could see thousands of other beings inside, all of whom shone with a brilliant light that came from within. The Being took the man's hand and made him stand up, and hand in hand they walked through
♥ This is today's very special visualization ... please read just before prayer time ♥ Don't forget there's a live prayer countdown at the top of the page and special tribute posts, too.
1) 2pm L.A. time (time chart)... As we close our eyes and bow our heads, take some deep breaths and picture yourself glowing in light. Feel its warmth surrounding you. With all the love in your heart, reach out to Michael with deep gratitude for the life he shared with us. Tell him all you need to say, with love and with thankfulness. Thank him for everything... for the beautiful gifts of his love, his music, his inspiration, for the joy, the magic, the wonder, for his strength, his kindness, for all stood for and gave to the children of the world and so much more... Express it all, give him your love with as joyful an intention as your heart can bear. He can hear you. You are not alone. You are embraced in love.
2) After a few minutes, please become aware of all the others
Stare at the center dot on the picture for 30 seconds to a minute, blink and just look over your shoulders, honey! (Or anywhere else). This is a beautiful afterimage optical illusion, not just because of the smiling face of our beautiful angel that you will see as your eyes move across the room, but because it is truly only an optical illusion. It wonderfully represents a deeper reality: you are truly not alone. When you keep your heart open, you'll find that the one you love has never (not for one moment of your life or theirs) been further away than your own heartbeat, and deeper still. We are all one in spirit, in consciousness. All else is the illusion of separation, "wrought by the magical lens of perception", created by our soul's temporary focus in the physical world. Keep the faith within your heart, for we will never be apart.

"What if that one in the mirror isn't me? He feels separate. He sees problems 'out there' to be solved... But I don't feel that way -- those problems aren't 'out there', not really. I feel them inside me. A child crying in Ethiopia, a sea gull struggling pathetically in an oil spill, a mountain gorilla being mercilessly hunted, a teenage soldier trembling with terror when he hears the planes fly over: Aren't these happening in me when I see and hear about them?"
"I respect the secrets and magic of nature. That's what makes me so angry when I see these things that are happening in our world. That every second I hear the size of a football field is torn down in the Amazon. I mean, that kind of stuff really bothers me. That's why I write these kinds of songs. You know, to give some sense of awareness and awakening and hope to people... I really feel that nature is trying so hard to compensate for man's mismanagement of the planet. The planet is sick. Like a fever. If we don't fix it now, it's at the point of no return. This is our last chance to fix this problem that we have, or it's like a runaway train. And the time has come; this is it. People are always saying, "Oh," they think, "They'll take care of it." "The government'll do..." "They'll..." They who?? It starts with us. It's US! Or else it'll never be done." ~ Michael Jackson [first quote from 'Dancing the Dream', second from 2009]
"Help us. You... you ... you... you... us ... WE"
This past week, Joe Vogel (author of the upcoming book "Man in the Music") posted a sneak preview and then ebook entitled "Earth Song: Inside Michael Jackson's Magnum Opus". (Please see his website for details). He tells the story of how "Earth Song" came to be, from its beginnings in Vienna during the Bad Tour, through it's completion and inclusion on the HIStory album and many stunning performances (such as Brunei in 1996 - see video below). Vogel also writes about the strangely underwhelming reviews it received, especially in America, where it seems to have been too "anti-corporate, anti-nature-raping, so it was prone to censorship" (as Bill Bottrell was quoted as saying). For those who were fans back then, you will probably remember the utter bewilderment as to why "Earth Song" wasn't released as a single in the U.S. while it topped charts in over fifteen other countries. You might get angry, as many are. But instead of just getting angry, let's get even ... i.e. let's balance this injustice and correct it, not only by spreading the truth about Michael, but by LISTENING to the messages he wanted us to hear. And beyond all else, let's DO SOMETHING. Let's follow in his footsteps and then lead the next generation. For Michael. For us all.
My Best Of Joy ...I love you now, I loved you then, I'll love you forever even when time comes to an end....you are forever and through our hearts your love is forever lasting. You are the sun, the stars, the moon, you came and gone and left too soon. I remember your presence so vividly, the magic you shared with the world, the dance, the music, the wonder, the gift you had withheld. You were the brightest star, you changed the world, you gave to others even after all you endured. Love was your message so true and deep, you never gave up hope no matter how high the leap. You gave us hope, you gave us strength, you changed our lives for the better from the music you sang. The heartache you endured, I'm so sensitive to your pain, I feel what you felt to which can never be explained. The world was so cruel and could not understand, the innocence you carried was far from this land. The rare gem that you are is far more beautiful than the brightest star. You were gods gift to the world, one so pure and true, the magical light that shines through your heart is forever beneath me and you. Angels do exist, its true I knew, for you were the one who lighted the world and
I've been enthralled by your song and your dance Tried to distance myself to avoid the past But I cannot separate bliss and woe For you slay and renew me with a glint of your glow
There are no rules, no time restrictions Sometimes I grieve and laugh in one sentence There are days when everything feels alright Days when I cry and I hurt like a child Who is lost, who can't find her way Who brightens as soon as she sees a kind face The smile of the man with whom she was parted It's anyone's guess if she's joyful or ardent
For I've been enthralled by your song and your dance Tried to distance myself to avoid the past But I cannot separate bliss and woe For you slay and renew me with a glint of your glow
I've experienced magic in recent years Met people more lovely than I could've dreamed I've spent precious time with your warm hands in mine Soul-danced around space and time, touching divine I've cried for me and I've cried for you And I'll cry plenty more but I know I'll come through With a smile on my face and a tear in my eye I'll hail and lament you always, angel of mine
For I've been enthralled by your song and your dance Tried to distance myself to avoid the past But I cannot separate bliss and woe For you slay and renew me with a glint of your glow ~ (c) Amanda 2011
With every breath, come 30 years, through joy, through life, through worst of tears,With each heartbeat, forevermore, you are my all, my love is yours.
"Out of the bliss comes magic, wonderment, and creativity."
"My idea of magic doesn't have much to do with stage tricks and illusions. The whole world abounds in magic."
"Being onstage is magic. There's nothing like it. You feel the energy of everybody who's out there."
"I'm pretty simple... I love to create. I love to make magic. I love to create the unexpected." "These men [Wright Bros, Edison, Disney, Ford] shaped and changed our culture, our customs, the way we live, the way we do things. And I think God plants those seeds through people on the earth. And I think you're one, I'm one to bring some bliss and escapism, some joy, some magic."
On that sunny day in June two years ago
A man in black came knocking on my door
He brought with him an enormous box, too big for any floor
No return address and my name written on the top
It was incredibly heavy, afraid it would drop
With a sinking heart I knew what was inside
Grief, pain and suffering and nowhere to hide
Barely able to make a sound
With trembling hands I turned it round and round
"Oh please, I can't take it, take the box away"
But the man had already left on that hot day
Empty your hearts of any fear, I am with you, I am here, I knew you all before time began, In primordial stars together we swam, Never separate, never apart, I feel your love, I know your heart, I know your grief, your doubts and frustration, I feel your joy, as I'm drenched by elation, Magnified to infinity, You've given me bliss in eternity, Never feel alone, my dears, Open your heart and drop your fears, Let me pour this love into you, Fill your soul and merge from two, To make you smile, to make you feel You're mine, each one. Yes. This is real. ~ June 14, 2011 ♥
The 'One Rose for Michael' team unpacked 38 boxes containing 4,500 roses (!) for Michael on Friday at Holly Terrace. The roses will line the walkway and patio as you may remember from last year. These roses are from all of us, all over the world, with all the love from the bottom of our hearts for our dear angel, Michael. We love you so much. All the flowers in the world couldn't begin to express our love and gratitude. Thank you, Michael. We really miss you :(
Thanks so much, Sophie and Robyn and all the folks who helped One Rose for Michael. (This is Robyn's picture - please see the FB group for more - hope you don't mind us posting it here.)
Later today, Sandy and the Sunflowers for Michael group will be delivering thousands more flowers and cards and letters from people around the world as well. There will no doubt be many beautiful photos on Facebook of the deliveries later. Thank you!
And bless all the rest of you who will be traveling there today and the millions around the world whose hearts will be, like ours, at Forest Lawn, but more profoundly... with Michael, thanking him and showering him with our love, respect and prayers. (Please remember our special Major Love Prayer today at 2pm PT. Thank you.)
"How would I like to be remembered? As a person who came and brought light to the world, some escapism. Also as the voice for the voiceless children, because I love them." ~ Michael Jackson
"Children show me in their playful smiles the divine in everyone... What we need to learn from children isn't childish. Being with them connects us to the deep wisdom of life, which is everpresent and only asks to be lived. Now, when the world is so confused and its problems so complicated, I feel we need our children more than ever. Their natural wisdom points the way to solutions that lie, waiting to be recognized, within our own hearts." ~ Michael Jackson
Today, June 22, 2011, Dr Patrick Treacy gave this profoundly moving speech at the Gardner Street Elementary School that Michael once attended and that now proudly once again displays his name on its auditorium. ♥ Thank you, Dr Treacy. Thank you so much. ♥
Dr Treacy's Speech: Fifty three years ago, a young black boy was born in a small town in Indiana. This was a different time, a time when the African-American Civil Rights Movement tried to gain freedom from oppression by white Americans.
It was also a time when the next generation of post-war Americans were growing up, the sons of soldiers who had freed prisoners from the tyranny of prison camps like Auswitch and Buchenwald, a time when all of Europe was filled with a profound and abiding gratitude to the American people.
As Elie Wiesel, a survivor of the Jewish Holocaust said in a speech to an important gathering of White House dignitaries in 1999 'Gratitude is what defines the humanity of the human being'.
And gratitude is what we should now have today for that young American black boy. His name was Michael Jackson, someone I am privileged to call my friend, somebody who often stood alone to fend for the children in the world, for the destitute, for the victims of disease and injustice.
Michael was very troubled by the suffering he saw in the world and even more to the indifference to it. His first words to me when we met were, 'Thank you so much for helping the people of Africa'.
There were no airs and graces, no pomp and circumstance and his only concern was for the lives of other people who lived on a different continent than the one in which either of us were born.
I had been to Africa and seen the devastation of the plague of HIV at first hand and when we discussed it, there was tears in his eyes and he said we had to do something together for the people of Africa.
He planned to hold a great concert in Rwanda and we would fly there together in his private plane and then down to see his great friend, Nelson Mandela. Sadly, these events were not to happen and the world lost one of its great humanitarians.
In that speech, Elie Wiesel had also some words to say about indifference. He said ‘To be indifferent to the suffering in the world is what makes the human being inhuman’.
For the person who is indifferent, his or her neighbour is of no consequence. Their lives are meaningless as indifference reduces the other to an abstraction. Indifference always benefits the aggressor -- never his victim, whose pain is magnified when he or she feels forgotten.
Michael Jackson felt that pain, not just for the hungry children, but for himself when the people of America remained indifferent to the injustice that was perpetrated upon him making him a virtual prisoner in his own land, causing him to flee to the Middle East and eventually find solitude in Ireland, my home.
What an irony that someone who cared so much about the rest of humanity was rejected by his own. It was a pain he felt deeply and one that on occasion he discussed with me, but mostly he did not want to talk about it and I never opened those painful memories …being like him, exiles beyond the norm.
Michael Jackson was never indifferent. He brought light where there was darkness, hope where there was despair; he never turned away from cruelty when he could give compassion.
We have just started a new century, a new millennium. The first ten years have been some of the most brutal the planet has ever encountered. The century started with terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. These actions dragged this great nation into conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. There have been wars in over twenty countries, which cast a dark shadow over humanity: So much violence, so much pain…..
If there is one thing to do today, to preserve Michael Jackson's memory --- that is not be remain indifferent to the suffering we see all around us in the World.
There are times when I feel God has abandoned this world, the terrible earthquake in Haiti where bodies were cut from building by hacksaw, the funeral undertakers in Zambia where the coffin-makers work banging nails in wood late into the night, the streets of Northern Ireland where throats are cut for pronouncing a word on a beer bottle with the wrong accent.
I have lived in Baghdad, I have been a prisoner of Saddam Hussein, I carry the war wounds of Northern Ireland and I say to you here today that there is a God who looks down on all of this wrong and he brought us Michael Jackson to help to solve it….
Over seventy years ago a ship with a human cargo of one thousand Jews was turned away from the port of St. Louis back to Nazi Germany. The ship, which was already on the shores of the United States, was sent back and the people left to the fate of the dictator.
This happened in America, a country with the greatest democracy, the most generous of all new nations in modern history. It is happening again today, with the bombing and terrorization of innocent children on foreign shores. Don’t let it happen, stand up for the things Michael stood for, to wipe out injustice, to combat disease and try and save the planet we live in.
What will the legacy of Michael Jackson be? How will he be remembered by generations as yet unborn?
Let's be grateful to God that he sent us such an angel to live amongst us for a while and let us not be indifferent to the wrongs we see around us. If Michael ever wanted us to do one thing that would make him happy as he looks down over us today it would be not to turn away from the victims of oppression and aggression and if in doubt about ever knowing what how to act....just think:
….'What Would Michael Do?'

♥ Please read below... Major Love Prayer on June 25, 2011 ♥
Note: If for any reason you are not comfortable with any part of this suggested visualization experience, please continue as you normally would each month. Any love you can send into the world and grow within your own heart is 100% worthwhile. Thank you.
1) 2pm L.A. time...
2) After a few minutes, please become aware of all the others just like you across the world who are doing the same. We are all together. We reach out for each other and connect, all of us and Michael. WE ARE ONE IN LOVE. It's as if we are all held in a hug together within Michael's arms, he within all of ours, all of us together within the divine. This is pure healing, for every one of us. Ask that we all be healed now of the pain of Michael's passing, of regrets over his life, of any regrets we may have in ours related to him, of the pain of arguments or rifts within the fan community. Ask that we be strengthened with love and forgiveness for all that is to come. We are never alone. The universe is awash in light and unconditional love and those we have lost are never lost. They live within our hearts for all time and they live within that light, surrounded by love, surrounding us. "I am here with you..."
3) As a group now, operating as one glowing energy of love, let us reach out to others. Reach out with caring and comfort to Prince, Paris and Blanket, to Katherine and the family, to friends and our own families. Everyone needs healing. Everyone needs our love. Our love extends out to everyone. See our group's light expanding, expanding ... expanding as it grows across the world, encompassing everyone and everything within our embrace. WE ARE ONE PLANET, ONE IN LOVE. All are enveloped in a major, major love. See the Earth as if from space, glowing in pure love and light. You can feel this as long as you wish. When you are ready to end your prayer/meditation, thank everyone for their love and then feel the glow around you softening until it becomes a small, soft and warm energy just at the level of your perception. This gentle glow you will take with you in your heart always. Thank you and ~L~O~V~E~.
Thank you, Michael. You are so loved. Always. Forever. We are yours.
Things I Learned from Michael Jackson: #5 'Unconditional Love'(by Elmira)
Before I can explain fully how Michael taught me about pure, unconditional love, I need to become deeply personal and explain my past and my inner demons and fears, so you can appreciate the full magnitude of his impact on me.
I am not afraid to bare my soul as I only hope with all my heart that others can benefit from reading my experience and heal in the way I was healed. My heart was healed although it was broken first due to the grief of losing him, even though I had never met him or was even a fan of his music!
When I was in my teens I searched for love everywhere, never finding any, feeling slightly desparate at a mission to find someone to give all that love to that I had inside of me. I was blessed with a loving family and many friends but that what I yearned for most, true love, eluded me. The more I searched for it, the unhappier and unfulfilled I felt, and the more lost and lonely and unloved I felt. Oh sure, many loved me as a good friend, someone to talk with, someone to dance with, someone to laugh with, someone to cry with, but not in a boyfriend/girlfriend kind of way. After a while I became used to being alone and I gave up on love altogether, thinking it wasn't for me, it simply wasn't "in the cards".In the movie theater I heard music that drove the loneliness home, yet it was sometimes strangely soothing in a way I couldn't understand.
Love became a very abstract word, and I couldn't understand what people meant when they said "You haven't lived fully, if you haven't loved". What did that mean for me? I was a bad person for not having a husband?? So I would be punished twice?
Life went on, I was happy enough in my job, traveled abroad as part of my job giving training to others, had a car, bought a house with a garden, my dream, but no man in my life. Some years I cannot even remember very well as they blur into a meaningless mush of days, weeks and months of working, sporting, meeting with friends, shopping, eating and sleeping.
Fast forward to June 25, 2009. I was captivated by Michael and what he stood for. After a couple of weeks or months, I can't really remember when it took place, I realized that my heart had opened to pure, unconditional love. I was feeling loved and able to share without bounds from this fountain of pure, unconditional love in my heart. I knew what love is all about, and what it's not, and Michael taught me this. And the music in the movie theater that I heard so many years ago that was also strangely soothing? Now I realized it was Michael's songs that had prepared my heart for the right time when it would be touched and changed so powerfully!
This wonderful gift fills me with the deepest gratitude and compassion for those around me. I feel so blessed and also thankful for my wonderful MJ-family with whom I can share these experiences with and others feel the same way. To me that is Michael's Miracle come true! I will always love you, Michael!
I felt like the brown mud in which the lotus has her roots, unworthy of any love. But then the Light and the Love shone intensely all that time. A tiny lotus root had travelled through mud, murky waters, clearer waters still until there was a surface. There a lotus bud lay waiting to be touched. Waiting for what? Touched by whom? She really didn't know. Finally, the Light and Love were able to reach her and touch so she could bloom like she was meant to bloom from the start. ♥ ~ Elmira - MJJC Legacy Project Positive Websites thread
We'd love to post your contributions to this series. If you'd like to write something, please consider thoughtfully something you've learned from or because of Michael (examples: about love or life, how to forgive, not to judge, how to follow your dreams, etc) and send your story to admin@majorloveprayer.org. Don't worry whether what you write is eloquent or simple, a full page or only a couple of paragraphs. The important thing is to just be yourself and share your insights in honor of Michael, to inspire others or just to empathize. The same lesson (like LOVE!) can certainly be written about more than once since we all have our own unique understandings. Thank you and much love! ♥
Things I Learned from Michael Jackson: #4 'Spirit and Forgiveness'(by Woman23)
I grew up in a non-Christian home, but always believed there was something «out there». I got saved at a Christian camp when I was 13 but found my way to the Catholic church soon after and stayed there until I was 21 when I signed out. A painful break-up and other struggles made me question my faith and my life. (a psychic said I had been a nun in one of my past lives, which I fully believe is possible, as I have always had a strong interest and fascination for nuns)
Then came June 25 2009. I was not a Michael Jackson-fan while he was alive...that is, I knew of «You Are Not Alone», «Heal the World», «Earth Song», and «Will You Be There». The latter was actually the song that kept me alive from day to day when I was 15 – 17 years old, as I underwent a severe depression. I never believed the allegations on child molestation, but I didn't believe there was such a thing as vitiligo. When he died I started looking into it and learned that Michael did have vitiligo, and I have asked forgiveness of both him and God.
Anyway, when Michael died, I gained an interest. In early August 2009 I fell in love with him, and I would talk to him every day, as a child would talk to an imaginary friend. (I continue to do this to this day) I spent some months in a cult before I left that too, still not knowing who or what to believe in. I WANTED to believe in something more, but I had been through so much pain that I was afraid. Having Asperger syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder (mild form of high-levelled autism), having a faith is actually a bad idea, since faith is so abstract and subtle.
A woman that I knew channeled Michael Jackson and delivered his messages to the world through her blog, and that gained my attention. At first I was shocked, because communicating with the dead was something I didn't know much about. Eventually I decided to ask her to channel Michael for me, which she did. His message to me included an invitation to study spirituality, as I had begun to realize there was more than what I had been taught. I was floored, and knew that I had a job to do.
For you I bow in thankfulness, Elation overflow, When enraptured by your love, Embraced in its sweet glow. Your gifts I hold in reverence, Awakened in my soul, Through opened eyes, within I see That we were always whole. For you this torch I'll carry far, As your wisdom fortifies Unbounded flame, the light of truth, I KNOW LOVE NEVER DIES.

Our dear MJ-family, We have gathered some information below about June 25th ... people you can join with in remembrance, some ways to express what you feel. Please leave a comment if you'd like to add something more. We know that anything suggested will pale in comparison to what each of our hearts could express for Michael. Like you, we are also still heartbroken, still trying to grasp this reality, asking why, learning to heal. Nearly two years have passed, and some days it almost feels long ago and yet a moment later the pain is as if it were yesterday. The month of June has not been made easy to bear. We want you to know, though, that whether you choose to gather with others this year or stay home by yourself... you are not alone. We are all with you, in your town, in your country, wishing the same wishes, praying the same prayers, crying the same tears. Know that the ones we lose are never lost, for they're closer to us now than our very breath, in our hearts, in our souls - one in love. And as we walk the path of healing and wholeness together, we are one. Always. We love you. We love you forever, Michael.

Things I Learned from Michael Jackson: #3 'Say Yes to your Heart' (by Brenda)
Michael has taught me the meaning of life. He has given me purpose and joy, taken away my fear of death, and my fear of living life to the fullest. Still, even with the huge impact he has had on my life, when I think of the biggest lesson I have learned from him, there is no doubt what that is. It is the thought that first struck me when he died, the lesson I hope that is conveyed in my book Ever After, and the reason I look forward to each day. The purpose of my life is to share this message with others. The lesson is this: Always say yes to your heart, and be the best you can be at whatever you love to do, no matter what.
Imagine a world where people say yes to their hearts without question, follow their dreams, doing their best and never giving up. This is the world that Michael believed in. This is the way he lived his life. He has shown me that this CAN be the real world. Since I have begun to trust him and follow this in my own life, everything is different, although it may seem the same on the outside.
Is there anyone who has ever followed his heart as unfailingly as Michael did? Is there anyone who has ever persevered against all odds as Michael did? Is there anyone who believed that all things were possible as Michael did?
He did these things because he believed his talents had been given to him by God and he felt his purpose was to express these gifts the best he could, so others might recognize their own gifts. This is true for all of us. We all have a purpose for being here, we have talents, ideas, inspirations just as Michael did. The difference between us and Michael is that he followed through NO MATTER WHAT. He did not just choose to express his gifts when he was inspired, when he was paid enough money, or when he was feeling good, he did it for us, because that is what he knew he was here to do.
He said, "I believe in me, so you'll believe in you." I believe in you Michael, and thanks to you, I also believe in me, and all of us. We are here to express our gifts and in doing so, we help others to be who they are meant to be as well. This is how we change the world. I promise that I will always say yes to my heart, and always do my best, no matter what. ~ Brenda - author of Love is the Answer (blog) and the beautiful picture book Ever After - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Read more of this series: Things I Learned from Michael Jackson.
"What we need to learn from children isn't childish. Being with them connects us to the deep wisdom of life, which is everpresent and only asks to be lived...Their natural wisdom points the way to solutions that lie, waiting to be recognized, within our own hearts." ~ Michael Jackson ♥
The World Conference for the Well-being of Children in Geneva, Switzerland proclaimed June 1 to be International Children's Day in 1925. It is usually marked with speeches on children's rights and wellbeing, children TV programs, parties, various actions involving or dedicated to children, families going out, etc. (source: Wikipedia)
